Satisfied Costomer

Sep 29, 2014  |  By Peter
We bought a window well kit and we are very happy with the products. However, we wish the instructions were more detailed. There was nothing in the instructions about installing a header over the window, or how to install the drain system. They give the very basics but its vague... We're having it inspected tonight so we'll see if we did it right!
Owner Response: Hi Peter, since the exact layout of every house is different the requirements for a header varies greatly, therefore we deliberately avoid giving advice about headers. Many will not need a header at all. We deffer to your structural engineer to determine the need and/or specifics of any type of header. As for instructions on a drain system, this too can vary greatly depending on your specific house and region of the country. Most older homes will not have any drain system at all. Good luck with your inspection. Sincerely, Jeff

All good

Aug 24, 2014  |  By Paul Lauridsen
The kit I bought was good. It's all in and is what I expected. The only not so great was the shipping. Only 1 guy to get it off the truck with no lift gate. Very close to damaging the window. $399 is a lot for that
Owner Response: It is possible to request a liftgate to aid in the delivery.

Never installed egress windows before, with the instructions, we installed 2. All you need is basic skills and a large saw.
